Suzuki 2012 GSR750 Naked - Official Details

With strong lines running from nose to tail and impressive specification, the unique chassis incorporates the best qualities of a compact tubular streetbike frame and the pin-point accuracy of a twin-spar sportsbike frame.

Riding on KAYABA suspension and powered by an engine derived from the GSX-R750, the result is a truly unique machine that offers strong acceleration from linear low-to-mid range torque and an intensely exciting ride.

GSX-R750 derived engine – Through modifications, including revised cam profiles, intake and exhaust tracts and a 12.3:1 compression ratio, Suzuki engineers have tuned the 749cc engine to produce broad low-end torque and dynamic mid-range power for strong acceleration and unmatched throttle response.

More fuel efficient – With the valves set at a very narrow angle, the combustion efficiency is also improved and with cutting-edge design techniques to reduce mechanical losses, sees a 10% improvement in fuel efficiency compared to the GSR600.

Upside Down Forks (USD) – A design developed in racing and mandatory for any serious high performance machine, the inverted KAYABA front forks feature41mm stanchion tubes and adjustable spring preload.

Sporty handling and riding position – With a sporty riding position and a careful relationship between the handlebars, footrests and the seat, adjustable front and rear KAYABA suspension and a compact frame, the new GSR750 tracks with real confidence to deliver a dynamic ride.

Exciting and unique instruments – With adjustable brightness, the instrument cluster features a prominent, easy to read analogue tachometer and a large digital LCD speedometer. The LCD display also includes a gear position indicator, fuel gauge, odometer/trip meter and a clock.

Slim mid-section – Designed to enhance comfort so that a wider range of riders can confidently get their feet on the floor.

Suzuki Inazuma 250 -The new naked unveiled by Suzuki

At a recently organized Live Motorcycle show in the United Kingdom, Suzuki came up with their latest product offering called the Inazuma 250cc. The bike has been given a styling typical of Suzuki.

Suzuki Inazuma 250

Inazuma, which when translated from Japanese means ‘Lightning’, should not be ideally the name given to bikes that would be deserved by a practical and tame bike.

The bike comes with twin parallel 250cc engines having liquid cooling and fuel injection. Six-speed transmission has been provided to the bike. Though there has been no declaration about the performance capabilities of the bike, the SOHC motor is optimized for mid-range to low levels of performance. The running gear also does not look very fancy with its twin-cradle framing and single disk brakes for both front and rear.

With naked styling inspired by the large-capacity B-King, it’s aimed at commuters or those looking for their first ‘proper’ bike. It’ll feature a novice-friendly liquid cooled, parallel-twin, 248 cc engine connected to a six-speed gearbox.

Given the target audience, power delivery is going to be biased towards the lower end of the rev range, and there’ll be a three-mode RPM indicator that prompts the rider to change gear to minimize fuel consumption.

The high-quality finish is carried throughout the bike using aluminium parts which not only makes the bike look good but also keeps overall weight down helping to increase performance, agility and economy.

To compliment this great performance, the Inazuma 250 comes with hydraulic disc brakes both on the front and back as well as a comprehensive instrument panel including a gear indicator, service reminder and 3-mode RPM indicator allowing you to select the gear change prompts that suits the type riding you require, including an economy mode for changing gear to achieve optimal fuel consumption.

2012 Suzuki Hayabusa Review

The Suzuki Hayabusa, quite simply, isn’t for everyone.

2012 Suzuki Hayabusa Review and Features

With performance credentials that have established it as the most exciting sportbike on the planet, it’s designed for serious sport riders who will settle for nothing less than the best.

If that’s you, and if you choose to ride the Hayabusa, you’ll be rewarded with a riding experience you’ll never forget. Its combination of unsurpassed power, crisp handling and superb aerodynamics creates the ultimate sport bike.

For 2012, the Hayabusa is available with new graphics and colors – Glass Sparkle Black and Pearl Glacier White.

Engine

  • A 1340cc in-line 4-cylinder fuel injected, DOHC liquid-cooled engine with 16-valves and Twin Swirl Combustion Chambers (TSCC) provides phenomenal power.
  •  Lightweight aluminum alloy pistons with a compression ratio of 12.5:1 are used for maximum performance in all connditions. Hard, smooth chrome-nitride Physical Vapor Deposition (PVD) coating on the upper compression and oil control rings on each piston reduces friction while improving cylinder sealing.
  •  Suzuki Composite Electrochemical Material (SCEM) cylinder plating improves heat transfer, durability and ring seal.
  •  Lightweight titanium valves allow the use of light valve springs and high lift while maintaining accurate valve control. Iridium spark plugs are used for high combustion efficiency.
  • The Hayabusa’s engine is fed via Suzuki’s SDTV (Suzuki Dual Throttle Valve) fuel injection system with dual 12-hole, fine-spray injectors per cylinder and ram air intake with large volume airbox.
  • Suzuki Pulsed-secondary AIR-injection (PAIR) system ignites unburned hydrocarbons and reduces carbon monoxide emissions.
  • S-DMS (Suzuki Drive Mode Selector) allows the rider to choose from three different engine settings depending on riding conditions or rider preferences.
  •  The Hayabusa comes with a large volume 4-2-1-2 exhaust system with a large capacity catalyzer, dual triangular canisters and closed loop system.
  • A high efficiency curved radiator features dual electric fans controlled by the ECM for increased cooling capacity. The oil cooler has 10 row cores for increased heat dissipation.

Transmission Features
An optimized 6-speed transmission features oil spray to the 4th, 5th, and 6th gears to reduce wear and mechanical noise during highway cruising. Suzuki Clutch Assist System (SCAS) serves as back-torque-limiting system for smooth downshifts and also contributes to a light clutch pull.

Chassis Features

  •  A lightweight and rigid twin-spar aluminum frame minimizes weight while maintaining high torsional strength.
  • A fully adjustable inverted front fork features DLC (Diamond-Like Coating) coated inner tubes. The front suspension offers minimal friction resistance and provides outstanding suspension performance over a variety of riding conditions.
  • A bridged aluminum alloy swingarm features a cross-sectional shape for increased rigidity, which also helps cope with improved rear tire grip and increased engine output. The Hayabusa’s fully adjustable rear shock absorber has a 43mm piston and 14mm rod diameter.
  • Radial-mount front brake calipers offer maximum braking performance and allows for smaller 310mm front brake rotors resulting in reduced unsprung weight and improved handling. A lightweight single piston rear brake caliper works in conjunction with a 260mm rear brake disc.
  • Vertically stacked twin headlights provide increased light intensity, improved light distribution and match the elegant flow of the Hayabusa styling.
  • The Hayabusa’s instrument cluster features four analog meters for speedometer, tachometer, fuel gauge and water temperature with a S-DMS mode indicator, gear position indicator and adjustable engine-rpm indicator.
